The idea behind Queer Craft Nights is really simple: to spark friendships and connections within our local Sisters area community in a relaxing and safe atmosphere while having fun!

The times we are living through right now can be anxiety-inducing and stressful, particularly for those of us in the LGBTQIA+ community who may be facing concerns about the personal safety of ourselves or our friends and family members, as well as access to care and resources.

Gathering together in person is enormously empowering and uplifting, and we also deeply believe in the power of creativity to alleviate anxiety while also reminding us of the agency and self-expression that we do possess.

Creating art for fun as well as practical purposes is something humans have gathered together to do for as long as we have records of human existence. So, as silly as it might seem to sit around a table and glue macaroni to a piece of construction paper, the playfulness, connection and imagination that it ignites are beautiful and essential parts of what it means to be human together.

Hope to see you there! :-)
